Saturday, October 22, The Soapbox facilitated design and printing of covers for Letters for Zora, a community-created zine in response to Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God. We were thrilled to discuss this amazing book with a group of writers and creators from West Philadelphia, and thank the Writers Room at Drexel’s Dornsife Center for inviting us to contribute to this project, part of the NEA Big Read programming.
Participants share excerpts from their zine contributions.
