We have had the honor of having some pretty cool people come through the Soapbox. Recently, we were lucky to welcome Nicole Donnelly to our board. She’s also the current president of the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists. The president, y’all. And she’s downstairs teaching a papermaking workshop during Open Hours today.
And have you met Anna Lehr Mueser? Bookbinding extraordinaire, Anna is also an environmental activist who kindly reminds us that being outside matters. Do you have questions about how to get that finicky coptic stitch right? There’s a workshop for that and Anna teaches it.
Then there’s Mary Tasillo who is not only a co-founder of the Soapbox, but also a sought-after art educator and activist in our lovely. She has taught at––among many other places––The Women’s Studio Workshop, Fleisher Art Memorial, Naropa University, The University of the Arts, and, of course, here at the Soapbox.
All three of these amazing artists teach workshops here at the Soapbox. Don’t miss out. Sign up for our mailing list, come visit during our open hours, or check out the Upcoming Workshops link on our website. You’re here anyway, just give a few more clicks and see what’s coming up!
